Spoonful: A Gathering of Stone Soup Poets

An extension of Cambridge's Stone Soup Poetry Venue.

There is no gentle way
to struggle,
the first brief skirmishes
leave one soiled,
words used as weapons
as violent as daggers,
cutting, forcing points
and concessions,
humiliations,
victories.
Struggle is not heoric,
but ugly,
and always
necessary.
