Little Sparrow
One grasps at love in desperate leaps,
clinging to life like a barnacle
on a doomed vessel,
destination unknown.
From a ravaged body, the defiant thrust
of one mighty voice
still pierces the airwaves.
La Môme Piaf ne regrette rien.
